Salary: £12.59 per hour

Production Arts Technician Demonstrator- Bury St Edmunds – Hourly paid up to £12.59 per hour, 36 weeks a year 14 hours per week.

An exciting position has arisen at the College for an experienced and enthusiastic t part time Technician to assist with the Level 3 Production Arts course. This role will give the successful applicant the opportunity to join a very reputable employer in the local area and share your professional industry experience with students, by teaching two full days per week on the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Production Arts.

Our performing arts department require the successful candidate to have a flexible approach and be prepared to work some evenings by prior arrangement.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

– Delivering sessions on all areas of Production Arts, such as Stage Management, Lighting Design, Sound Engineering, Scenic Design and Construction, Costume and Props Management

– Providing technical assistance for all Conservatoire EAST Season productions

– Preparing materials and work areas for students and maintaining all hand tools, equipment and materials used in performing and Production Arts

– Actively participating in Health and Safety training and ensuring that Health and Safety working practices are complied with in the workplace

– Assist Lecturers with the identification and writing of ‘safe systems of work’ and ‘risk assessments’

Dance Teacher (Tap and Jazz)

Salary: £30.91 per hour,
Contract Status: Hourly Paid
Dance Teacher (Tap and Jazz) – Bury St Edmunds – Hourly paid up to £30.91 per hour, 36 weeks a year 13.5 hours per week.

An exciting position has arisen at the College for an experienced and enthusiastic Dance Teacher to work within our performing arts department, this role will give the successful applicant the opportunity to join a very reputable employer in the local area who are offering a very competitive hourly rate along with an extensive benefits package, which is inclusive of a very attractive pension scheme, cycle to work, childcare vouchers and savings across many local organisations along with opportunities to win competitions and cash prizes and many more.
Your duties will include but not be limited to:

– Delivering technique classes in Jazz and Tap to students on the Performing Arts pathways
– Choreographing Jazz and Tap routines for course commissions
– Assessing students work and progress
– Giving feedback
– Contributing to reports

The department require the successful candidate to be an experienced dance practitioner and teacher and be willing to get involved in a wide range of activities we currently offer our students.
